What cookies and similar technologies do
Cookies are small items of data saved to a device by a website or associated service. Similar technologies can include local storage, scripts, pixels, or other ways of storing or accessing information on a device. Some help the site function; others may measure activity or support third-party services.
Cookies and services identified
Consent-preference controls
The website presents consent controls through CookieYes, with Accept All, Reject All and Customise options and a preference-revisit control. Its categories are Necessary, Functional, Analytics, Performance and Advertisement. A CookieYes scan completed on 19 October 2026 identified seven cookies or related storage entries in the Necessary category, including security, consent-management and WordPress functionality items. No entries were classified in the other four categories by that scan. Automated scanning can miss technologies and does not itself establish their legal classification.
Google-related cookies and contact-form protection
Cookie inventory reviewed 19 October 2026: Our CookieYes scan identified the following technologies in the Necessary category. Google reCAPTCHA uses _GRECAPTCHA (reported duration: six months), rc::a and rc::f (reported as persistent), and rc::b and rc::c (reported as session storage) for bot detection and form security. WordPress uses wpEmojiSettingsSupports (session) for browser feature detection. CookieYes uses cookieyes-* (reported duration: one year) for consent management. Some entries represent browser storage rather than conventional HTTP cookies; availability and retention can vary with the browser and service configuration.
CookieYes uses the first-party cookieyes-consent cookie to remember a visitor’s consent preferences; the currently configured preference period is 365 days. Google reCAPTCHA v3 is used with our enquiry form to detect automated submissions. In the current implementation it loads on the homepage and Contact page, including when optional cookies are rejected. Google identifies _GRECAPTCHA as supporting reCAPTCHA risk analysis. This security service is active even if you reject optional cookies; choosing Reject All does not disable anti-spam checks. Google may receive technical information associated with the risk assessment.
Google Fonts and other website technologies
Sapphire’s ordinary website fonts, including Open Sans, Montserrat, Playfair Display and Manrope, are hosted on the Sapphire website rather than requested from Google Fonts. reCAPTCHA is a separate service that continues to make requests to Google. A request to an external service is not, by itself, proof of an advertising cookie. The website may also use functional storage or assets needed to load WordPress pages and security features. We have not established that advertising or Google Analytics cookies are deployed on the inspected homepage.
When your choices are needed
Where a cookie or related technology requires consent, the relevant choice should be offered before it is used. Storage that falls within a legal exemption may operate without that choice but should still be explained. The applicable rules depend on the purpose and implementation.
How to change cookie preferences
You can reopen the CookieYes preferences panel using the cookie-preferences control on our website, and use its available actions to accept or reject optional cookies. Cookie details and category choices are presented through the CookieYes preferences interface. The latest scanner inventory lists seven Necessary-category entries and no entries in the optional categories. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser, although this may affect website functions.
Third-party providers
Relevant external services include Google (for reCAPTCHA v3) and CookieYes (for consent controls). The site’s ordinary font families are served locally. For information about service providers and international data transfers, see our Privacy Policy. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s own information.
Google provides privacy information about its service. Our business email and hosting arrangements are provided through Hostinger, and selected contacts may be manually entered into HubSpot as explained in our Privacy Policy.
